Take a piece of literature that you know, one that you might admire, and mirror its format onto what you are writing. At times, when we are stumped, this is comforting; knowing how you felt when you read it and then producing that same sensation, with different material- your own material.
This doesn't mean that you have to keep or publish what you write, but rather ease writing tension so that you are able to write something down and possibly move onto your story again. Break the block. Always see your writing as a success.
