Authors that put their time into their work and love what they write should be proud. Not everyone can say they wrote it to their liking. If you start to feel uneasy about the quality of your novel, i.e. its selling potential, just look at some of your works that you were happy with.
Every author is filled with emotions when they write something they're happy with. Think about how you felt when you wrote that piece. What inspired you to write that book? Or- think about a part of your book that you are particularly fond of. I like to capture that feeling, even write about it. It's inspiration.
